AMD – 08/23/2007

August 23, 2007 at 11:17 pm · Filed Under Bearish, Growth

AMD has been having a rough time ever since Intel released the Core 2 last year. With the Barcelona currently looking underwhelming, AMD presents some decent opportunities for a bearish market. At points 1 and 2 it held some support at 12.50, but once it fell through it was a rough drop that also coincided with some steep drops across the market. At point 3 the 12.50 mark seems to have turned into some resistance. If things continue downwards look to make a bearish play, but if things turn around (Barcelona surprises) look for a breakout over 12.50.

Barcelona should be competitive with Clovertown chips, but from what I’ve read, it will have a tough time with Penryn chips due to be released later this year. If there is a breakout over 12.5 on a strong Barcelona launch, I’d watch the Intel release very closely. How about a link so that people can submit stocks to be evaluated?
