S&P 500 – 10-09-2007

The market continued to creep upwards today, setting new highs and closing pretty strongly. After hours, Alcoa (AA) released earnings that disappointed, but I personally wouldn’t look at that as a great indication of future prospects for the economy, even though that seems to be a story in the press. I’m sure if the market drops tomorrow they’ll be quick to point it out, but if the market continues upwards they’ll mention the possibility of rate cuts again. My personal sentiment hasn’t changed from being bullish short term, bearish longer term.
